Magic Mike:
this teaser trailer i like especially because the main character (Channing Tatum) is one of my favour actors. I have also seen numerous other films that he stars in and i admire him a lot.
The genre of the trailer is also one that i watch a lot and i like storylines and other starring characters that they may use. e.g Alex Pettyfer
It is also a very good trailer as it shows all the main bits of the film and it grabs peoples attention very easily. The poster for the film also attracts its target audience as it has the main characters at the front.
The film is directed by Steven Soderbergh. Written by Reid Carolin.
Set in the US, Veteran stripper Magic Mike (Channing Tatum) teaches a novice (Alex Pettyfer) about the occupation while seeking a lifestyle outside the world of stripping with the help of his protege's sister (Cody Horn). They work at a club Xquisite, which is owned by the former stripper Dallas (Matthew McConaughey)
Treatment
i've decided to change my idea and consider creating a short film. i think i have more ideas to put into the length of a short film then a teaser trailer.
my idea is that a young women was abused from a young age and her childhood was taken away from her. She grew up not knowing who was her true friends were and she had no one to turn to. She started secondary school and she was bullied within the first month of attending her school. Apart from all her worries troubles and pain she was experiencing she was a top student achieving all the grades possible. She passed all her GCSE's and was broadcasted to many colleges across the country.
8 years later she had fulfilled her life wishes and is currently studying at a top university, she has a scholarship and is living the high life. there is then a 30 second clip at the end where she shares her inspiring words and words of advice on her situation and how to get through it.
It can some what be related to the film The Blind Side but just a different gender of the main character
